Morand/Gibbons Nursing Scholarship

This fund honors the memory of sisters Theresa and Catherine (Boots) Morand and Helen Morand Gibbons. The fund was established by the Morand family — Sister Mary Martin, S.C., Sister Rose Martin, S.C., and their brother, Joseph Morand, a 1952 graduate of Xavier University. Sr. Mary Martin Morand is an RN and served as a medical missionary in the Andes Mountain in Peru. Sr. Rose Martin is Director of Mission Services at an Ohio hospital. Joseph Morand’s daughter, Molly Morand, also participated in the creation of the scholarship. Molly is an RN consultant and served as the president of the Xavier University Nursing Alumni Association in 2001-2002. The scholarship is to be awarded to deserving students enrolled in Xavier University’s School of Nursing.
