John and Mildred Muething Scholarship

This fund was created by Mr. and Mrs. John Muething to assist qualified Xavier students. Mr. Muething received his BS degree from Xavier in 1943. He was an attorney, a member of the President’s Advisory Council, and a former member of the Cincinnati Board of Education. Mrs. Muething received her degree in Chemistry from Edgecliff College in 1945. The Muethings had nine children. Both Mr. and Mrs. Muething are now deceased. Awarded to students with financial need.
