Lester J. Besl Memorial Service Fellows Scholarship

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Besl created this endowment in 1994. Additional funding for the scholarship came from the Besl’s family and other friends. The recipient of this scholarship must be a participant in Xavier’s Service Fellow Program. Mr. Besl began working full-time at the age of 16 and was financially unable to attend college. However, his son and several grandsons are Xavier graduates. Mr. Besl died in March 1996. His wife, Bonnie, died in May 2001. Legacy Scholarship list.
