Lt. Robert T. Rice Jr. Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship fund was established by Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. Rice, Sr., in loving memory of their eldest son, Robert T. Rice, Jr., who graduated in 1969. He was the Xavier ‘Musketeer’ mascot in 1968-69. Following graduation, Lt. Rice entered the U.S. army and was killed by enemy fire in Vietnam in 1970. His father died in 2003. Awarded to the undergraduate applicants with the highest cumulative GPA applying for the Upplerclass Scholarship. The Rice is renewable as long as the student maintains full-time enrollment with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
