Rev. Albert J. Bischoff, S.J., Scholarship

This scholarship fund was created by the former students and friends of Rev. Albert J. Bischoff, S.J. on the occasion of his 75th birthday in 2002. It benefits qualified Xavier students with financial need so that they may remain at Xavier. Fr. Bischoff has served Xavier University in a variety of roles over 30 years. He has been a professor, team chaplain, residence hall chaplain and currently is a member of the Faith and Service staff. His dedication to Xavier students is legendary, and his homilies at the many liturgies he performs in Bellarmine Chapel and in the residence halls are remarkable. ‘Father B.’ is a Xavier graduate himself, earning a BS degree in history in 1949 prior to his entrance into the priesthood. He received an M.Ed degree from Xavier in 1958. Selection criteria: renewable offered to a sophomore, junior or senior to maintain retention.
