Giles K. Riley Memorial Scholarship

This fund was created by the family of Giles K. Riley to honor his memory and commemorate his respect for higher education and his love of the game of golf. Mr. Riley taught golf to numerous female pro golfers while residing at the Hamlet in Delray Beach, Florida. The scholarships are awarded to both a male and a female student athlete on Xavier’s intercollegiate golf team. One of Mr. Riley’s sons, Dennis, is a 1967 graduate of Xavier and a practicing attorney in New Jersey and a many term New Jersey Assemblyman. Mr. Dennis Riley’s children, Patrick, ’01 and Yvonne, ’03 are Xavier graduates as well.
