Lawrence A. and Anne Leser Scholarship

This fund was created by Mr. and Mrs. Leser to assist qualified Xavier students. Mr. Leser’s former employer, The E. W. Scripps Company, also contributed substantially to the fund. Mr. Leser is a graduate of St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati and received his accounting degree from Xavier University in 1957. He is a member of Xavier’s Board of Trustees. Now retired, he served for many years as the chairman of the board of The E. W. Scripps Company, parent company of Scripps-Howard Broadcasting. Mrs. Anne Leser died in 2001. She and Mr. Leser had five children. Awarded to St. Xavier High School graduates (Cincinnati, OH) with financial need. Legacy Scholarship list.
