Jack G. and Mary C. Downing Faculty/Student/Mentor Scholarships

This fund was established by Mr. and Mrs. Downing to assist qualified students in Xavier’s Williams College of Business as part of the Downing Teacher-Scholar-Mentor program. Mr. Downing was a member of Xavier’s Class of 1930. He was a creative entrepreneur, establishing Downing Displays, Inc. when he was nearly 60 years of age, and nurturing it to great success. Mr. Downing died in September 1994, his beloved wife, Mary Kay, followed him in death two weeks later. Through their wills, the Downings established the Downing Foundation, which continues to assist worthwhile causes in Cincinnati.
